DIY Face Mask! (for blackheads and large pores)

Hello beauty queens! I have been obsessed with making my own masks and I have tried dozens of new masks but I have found a winner and I'm here to share it with you. This mask could be done at the end of the week after a long and make up filled week. It is for oily skin but if you have dry skin, this will be perfect if you follow up with a good moisturizer. The egg whites dry up very fast to pull your face and draw the dirt from your pores and your blackheads. Therefore, this could also be used for anti-aging. After you remove your mask, you will find your skin looking flawless and all those under skin acne will come to surface so you can cure them! (post down below on curing whiteheads)

You need:
2 egg whites

Directions:
Separate the egg into the yolk (yellow) and the egg white. Apply the egg whites onto your face and wait till it dries, you will know it is dry because it will be hard to smile or move your face :) Apply a second layer, wait till it dries. Apply a third layer, wait till it dries. Rinse off with water and feel how good your skin looks and your clean pores!!

How simple no?! And you can repeat it as much as you want, it doesn't have any chemicals!!

How I heal whiteheads?! (acne treatment)

Hello beauty queens! This is a quick post for those you girls with acne! I used to suffer from severe acne and whiteheads, blackheads, and a lot more sensitive skin related issues. I just wanted to let you girls know that you are never alone! No one can control their acne,it's the way god created us. But I have found a way to cure whiteheads with the clean&clear advantage spot treatment! This product just hit Arab market and THANK YOU LORD! It is magic! You will wake up with 80% of the pimple gone, but it isn't drying at all! But I always find the need to scratch off that last layer at the end but DON'T! It will scar. It is a intense dose of salicylic acid, which proves that it works because your zits are actually basic (base) so this cream neutralizes the zit, as a result killing it. Anyway, avoiding bad habits, this product is magic! If you have acne, you need this in your life.

P.s. don't ever put this on open acne, acne that you popped, don't use salicylic acid on those zits.

New Favorite Lip Combo (redish coral, perfect for summer!)

Hello beauty queens! I am back today with a new lip stick post! This combo has been my favorite for summer!
First, I use Avon Cosmetics lip stick in bikini. Then, follow up with the Avon Ravishing Red (gently pat it in into the pervious color). I personally enjoy a matte lip but for gloss, I use the Dior Addict lipstick in Rosé Starlet (forgive the packaging, it is very old).

Favorite Eyeliners! (liquid and pencil)

Hello beauty queens! Today I will share with you 5 different favorite eyeliners!

The first is the YSL Dessin Du Regard Long-Lasting Eye Pencil. This is my favorite black to smudge and create a smokey look because it is UBER SMOOTH and it lasts the whole night (or day), plus it is super black!

Buy it at: http://www.sephora.com/dessin-du-regard-waterproof-long-lasting-waterproof-eye-pencil-P287107

or

http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp?ItemID=49872

The second is the MF Color Perfection eye liner in waterproof. This is super black and it is great for the water line and it is a rolling pencil so it is good for "on the go." My absolute favorite water proof eye liner!

Buy it at: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Max-Factor-Colour-Perfection-Eyeliner-Khaki-/280921550009

The third is the Diego Dalla Palma liquid eye liner and I actually found a dupe for this and it is the Revlon ColorStay liquid liner! I love this in the brown shade because it is less intense. It lasts all day and it looks amazing throughout the whole day! I love using it for school because it is not intense and it lasts through the sweating and the fuss.

Buy it at: http://www.diegodallapalma.com/store/en/make-up/eyes/eye-liners/eye-liner.html

The fourth is the Rimmel Soft Kohl eye pencil in pure white. I use this on my water line to brighten my eyes! I love this! It lasts all day and it is very smooth!

Buy it at: http://www.drugstore.com/rimmel-soft-kohl-kajal-eye-pencil-pure-white/qxp145962

The fifth and last liquid eye liner is my favorite and I can't explain how much I love this. I have this in every color and it is the Revlon Color Stay Liquid Liner! I'M OBSESSED. It lasts and I can do a thick line or a smooth thin line! Plus, it is a dupe for the expensive liquid liners! I also have this in brown for school and day time instead of a deep black!

Nail Polish of the Day! (Zoya)

Hello beauty queens!

In my last post, I mentioned how I wanted to stay away from Essie and OPI for nail polish and this is the color that I have on today! It is Zoya GIE GIE and I love it. I think it would a lot more opaque with a white base. It is the girly sparkly pink and it's really sweet:)

What's on my face today?!

Hello beauty queens! I wanted to make a quick post about a new look that I love!

Face: For foundation, I have been loving the Bourjois Healthy Mix in 54 and setting it with Rimmel Stay Matte powder in 005 Silky Biege. For cheeks, I'm loving the Sandy Cosmetics blush in 9. (You can find this online, it's a discounted UK brand) Whereas for highlighter, I'm in love with the VS PRO face illuminator in Radiant Fix.

Eyes: First, I fill in my eyebrows as mentioned in my pervious eye brows post using the Avon palette in Mocha Latte. I use the shade on top of the matte brown to highlight my brow bone and also as a lid color. Then I smudge the Sandy Cosmetics eyeshadow in 15 (it's a gorgeous eggplant color) and then I wing it out and smudge the leftovers into my crease. I top it off with the Falsies Mascara by Maybelline.

Lips: Avon Cosmetics in Bikini and in Ravishing Red and Dior Addict in Rose Starlet. (lip stick post up)

Favorite Nail Polish Brands other than Essie and OPI

Hello beauty queens! I just wanted to make a quick post about my favorite nail polishes from my favorite brands other than the usuals of Essie and OPI. Recently, I wanted to try a few more nail polishes from other brands other than Essie and OPI. So here are my favorites, hope you enjoy!

1. Revlon Top Speed nail polish in 865 Sterling. It is a gorgeous metallic color and it dries really fast and it looks 3D on the nails! I love Revlon nail polishes in general!

2. Zoya in Blu. This is my favorite summer nail polish and my favorite nail polish brand IN THE WORLD. 2 coats and you are done! It dries fast and it lasts about 5 days with little to no chips or fading! This color is a gorgeous light blue and it is so opaque! (Zoya is also organic, NO CHEMICALS)

3. H&M nail polish in Come Along With Me. This color is a dark teal color and although you need about 3 coats to get a vibrant color, it looks amazing on the nails and toes!! Perfect for summer time!

Review: Max Factor Smooth Effect Foundation

Hello beauty queens! I am back today with a new foundation review!

This foundation is cheap for a drugstore foundation, however it is terrible quality. There are better foundations with the same price. Mine is in the shade bronze 80! It changes color during the day and if I apply bronzer on top, it separates and looks muddy because of the foundation. I used this foundation for about a month. I also found it clogged my pores and its packaging is really annoying because it is hard to get a specific amount of product. I use my Rimmel Stay Matte powder for my other foundations and it works well but with this foundation, it separated and looked very "trashy." I would say it is about medium coverage but it fades off in about an hour (sometimes less). It also smells like trash...... Like absolute trash. Ugh hate it. HOWEVER, I have to say that I love that Max Factor Second Skin Foundation and I like Max Factor as a brand in general.

Packaging: 5
Lasting Power: 2
Coverage: 5
Smell: 3

Night Routine (skincare, body, and hair)

Hello beauty queens! This is my night skincare routine after a long day wearing makeup, I usually take off my makeup at like 8-9 pm (10 pm max.). On a daily basis, I use minimal products for my hair before going to bed and finally moisturize my body and hands.

Face:
1. Remove: I remove my makeup with my boots vitamin e toner and I put it onto a baby sensitive wipe from boots too (cheap but works amazing.)
2. Cleanse: I cleanse using the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. It is a bit drying and rough but it works well for my acne and scars!
3. Tone: Clean&Clear deep cleansing lotion on a baby cotton pad from boots.
4. Treat: Bioderma Corrective Care skin with blemishes. It restores the skin's natural clear aspect and it is light and fast-working.
5. Moisturize: La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Intense Riche, review coming soon. (LOVE)
6. Spot Treat: Clean&Clear advantage anti-spot gel for whiteheads and fucidin (fucidic acid) for open acne.
7. Eye treatment: Bioderma Eye Contour Gel, do you guys want a review?
8. I like to cleanse my eyes with Optive eye drops to moisturize my dry eyes and lashes.

Hair:
Serum: ultra Vital no more frizzes repair serum! (review?)

Body:
Nivea Soft Face, Body and Hands cream

Hands:
Australian Bodycare Hand and Foot Cream (paraben free), it is a bit expensive but it is organic and it works amazing on dry hands!

p.s. make sure you always use hand sanitizer before touching your face and creams!! && I also like to add water in a spray bottle and use it to refresh my face after my makeup remover to really melt all the makeup.

If you guys want me to make a post about my masks and treatments, let me know down below!!

Hair! How to add volume to fine hair?!

I personally have naturally "big" hair but I have friends that have fine hair and these products are number 1 in their routine! There are 2 different products that work PERFECT for volume!

Number 1 is using a mousse! I use this mousse to create beachy waves that last all day or to lock in my curls after curling my hair! The mousse I love is the boots curly hair mousse! It is inexpensive and it works amazing! It is a little bit sticky but I don't mind it. So far it beats all the higher-end mousses I have tried.

Buy it at: http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Essential-Styling-Mousse-Curl-200ml_981010/

Number 2 is using dry shampoo! I use this to get rid of oily hair on my second or third day. My favorite is the batiste dry shampoo in lace. I have brunette hair but I don't mind the "white" spray instead of the brown one. I LOVE this when I straighten my hair and want to add volume! It also smells amazing and it is easy to work with! I use this almost every week to "freshen" up.

Buy it at: http://www.boots.com/en/Batiste-Dry-Shampoo-Lace-Seductive-Elegant-200ml_1262071/

p.s. let me know if you guys want to see pictures of these products!

Eyebrows!

Hello beauty queens!

As an Arab, I'm obsessed with thick eyebrows. To achieve thick brows, I use powder to fill in my eyebrows and tinted wax to set them in place. I used to use the Great Lash mascara as wax to set my brows but recently I found a better (and cheaper) way! I use lip balm! Personally I like to save money on "eyes" and spend money on face and cheeks. I use the dark matte brown from the mocha latte quad by Avon with a Guerlian angled brush then I brush them out with a disposable spoily brush then set them in place with the H&M lip balm with a disposable applicator. I highlight my brow-bone with the highlighter in the mocha latte quad with a flat brush. AND I'm good to go :)

Buy the quad at: http://www.amazon.com/beauty/dp/B002D7L3N6
Buy the Guerlian brush at: (discontinued)

p.s. let me know if you guys want pictures for this post!

My favorite inspiration for thick brows: (I love Cara)

Drugstore Comparison Week 1: Concealers

Hello beauty queens! I have started a new series called drugstore comparison  each week I will compare a few products together. It is time to compare 4 different drugstore concealers! Some of these I LOVE and some I HATE!

The first concealer is the Avon Cosmetics Stick Concealer, in the shade light. This concealer I hate, it was one of my first concealers as a make up starter so I didn't understand how concealers work. I personally find that this concealer is very drying and rough. When I try to use it under my eyes, I feel like I'm adding 30 years to my face because I PULL so much to work with the concealer, so I tried using it on acne and discoloration but it set right around the acne and it dried it out. BUT I use this concealer as a nude base for lipsticks, and I love it for that purpose. As far as it's packaging goes, it is a regular lipstick-like concealer and it is simple packaging for travelling and for your purse.

Coverage: 7
Consistency: 4
Packaging: 10

Overall: 6

Buy it at: http://www.avon.com/

The second concealer is also Avon, and it is the Avon Cosmetics Roll Concealer in the shade fair. The shade is a bit off for me but I  use it during winter so I get pretty pale. I don't mind this concealer, but I wouldn't use it for dark circles because it is very strong coverage. I use this for discoloration and zits. It isn't drying, it is very creamy and smooth. The packaging is slim and also lipstick-like, it is a simple black color.

Coverage: 9
Consistency: 8
Packaging: 10

Overall: 9

Buy it at: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Avon-Ideal-Shade-Concealer-Stick-2-pcs-chestnut-/300893009122

or

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Avon-concealer-stick-fair-/181156833172

The third concealer is the Maybelline Dream Lumi-touch Highlighting Concealer. This concealer is my favorite for dark circles and highlighting. I would NEVER use this for zits because it would simply highlight them and "show them off" more. It is so smooth and creamy. The packaging is like a pen with a twister bottom. I don't have words for this concealer, it is simply amazing (and cheap).

Coverage: 9
Consistency: 10
Packaging: 10

Overall: 10

Buy it at: http://www.maybelline.com/Products/Face-Makeup/Concealer/Dream-Lumi-Touch-Highlighting-Concealer.aspx

The fourth concealer is the matching concealer for my foundation. It is the Bourjois Health Mix Concealer in the shade 52. It is a little light to use on acne but perfect for dark circles. It is VERY high coverage. The consistency is very creamy and smooth. The packaging is a little disappointing and it is hard to control the amount of product that comes out. Apparently, it is also the concealer Kim Kardashian uses under her eyes before highlighting (LOVE).

Coverage: 10
Consistency: 10
Packaging: 8

Overall: 9

Review: Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

Hello beauty queens!

This foundation is FLAWLESS! It has an amazing shade range, I'm personally shade 54! I would say the coverage is light to medium but it can be built up easily, without looking "cakey." I think I'm obsessed with the packaging, its my favorite part! The pictures will show you how it the packaging works. You get EVERY bit of your money out of the product, and it is a pump!! Therefore, easy application. Another thing that gets me every time is THE SMELL! The "healthy mix" part of the foundation comes from the blend of fruits in the foundation! It literally smells like FRUITS!! I look forward to using this foundation! One downfall for this product is it's lasting power. The packaging says "16h," which is pushing it to be honest! At like 10 hours, there is barely any foundation left on my face! And I have acne scars from pervious teenage acne, so I always want to be covered up and this is hard to achieve with this foundation! As you know, the Middle East is hot, like REALLY hot! So this foundation does the job without looking cakey and melting off my face (more like fades off). I powder this foundation with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder (review soon) and I apply it with the H&M double sided brush (review soon) and I set everything with the Urban Decay Make up Setting Spray (review soon). Overall, I love the foundation but it does have a few downfalls but for the price, it's worth it!

Packaging: 10
Coverage: 8
Lasting Power: 7
Smell: 10

Hello!!

Hello hello!

Welcome to all my readers, I am Wilma! This blog will bring you makeup, beauty and life reviews and articles in the future. Just a little about myself, I am a female senior in the United Emirates! I have a passion for beauty and makeup, as well as writing. As a suggestion from my best friend, I decided to start my own blog. If you are wondering about the name of the blog, http://maquillage-dash.blogspot.com/, maquillage means makeup in French. I also have a passion for language and learning cultures. Whereas, "dash" is simply from my love to the Kardashians. They are simply my role models in self confidence and beauty. I am a hardworking student and I plan on pursing medicine in college. However, I am taking a year off before college. I am actually from Turkish decent, hence my name. But both my parents are Arab and Arab speaking. I am very family oriented. ALSO, I LIVE BY HOROSCOPES! I AM A CAPRICORN! Cheers to all my Capricorns out there! A few of the beauty bloggers I look up to include www.hudabeauty.com, especially because she is also Arab. I also love Tanya Burr and makeupbytiffanyd.

I will have about 4 posts weekly so make sure to stay tuned:) Love you all, and make sure you spread the word!
